Yvonne Campos, Owner and President of Campos Inc, will serve as the facilitator of the Seton Hill University WPO chapter in Greensburg, PA. As
the founder and facilitator for the WPO-Pittsburgh chapter,
she has over
5 years of successful experience with WPO. For the last 20
years, Yvonne has professional experience designing and implementing
market research for national corporations, small businesses,
not-for-profit organizations, health care institutions, financial
institutions and professional organizations. With a background
in qualitative research, Yvonne is a nationally known focus
group moderator with group dynamic skills that extend from
one-on-one interviews, to moderator training sessions, panel
presentations and guest lecturing. She has worked with numerous
populations including consumers, professionals, executives
and special populations; conducting focus group discussions
in both English and Spanish. After seven years as a qualitative
consultant, Yvonne founded Campos Market Research in 1986.
Campos Market Research now occupies four floors at a centralized
downtown Pittsburgh location - including three focus group
suites. In addition to managing and marketing the company,
Yvonne initiates and oversees research efforts for her clients.
Ms. Campos is a very active member of the Pittsburgh business
community and has been recognized repeatedly for her entrepreneurial
spirit and community involvement. In 2003, she won the Pennsylvania
Chamber Small Business Leadership Award. In 2002, Yvonne was
selected to participate in Harvard's John F. Kennedy School
of Government Inaugural Class of Women Leadership and Power.
Over the years she has been recognized by various groups and
organizations. Some of her honors include, winner of the Western
PA Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the category "Success
of a Woman Owned Business" sponsored by Ernst & Young,
Inc. Magazine and Merrill Lynch as well as, a finalist for
the "PA Small Business Person of the Year Award."
She was named one of the Top 50 Business Women in the state
of Pennsylvania and was an honoree for the YWCA's fifteenth
anniversary of "A Tribute to Women" celebration.
Also, she was a nominee for Pittsburgh's prestigious ATHENA
Award, as well as the winner of the City's SBA Minority Small
Business Person of the Year. She was selected as the Vectors
Pittsburgh Small Business Person of the Year and she is consistently
on the top 25 Women in Business list of the Pittsburgh Business
Times.
Yvonne is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh Class IX and
contributes her time to many community projects and boards.
Yvonne currently serves on the board of directors for several
Pittsburgh businesses and organizations. Board of directors
for Goodwill Industries of Western Pennsylvania, MBA Advisory
Council-Chatham College, Pittsburgh Dance Council Advisory
Board and Regional Director for First Commonwealth Bank. She
is a former member of PA Chamber of Business & Industry,
Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, Pittsburgh Mercy Hospital
Foundation, Board of Governors for the Rivers Club, Beginning
with Books Literacy Program, Western PA Council for Boy Scouts,
Pittsburgh Musical Theatre Advisory Board, and a former Commissioner
for the Greater Pittsburgh Commission for Women.
Yvonne also served as the first female president of the Pittsburgh
Rotary Club in its 85-year history. She is a member of the
American Marketing Association (AMA), Market Research Association
(MRA), National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO),
and the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA).
Yvonne is also the founder and facilitator of the Women President's
Organization (WPO) Pittsburgh Chapter.
