Participants Wanted for Research Study: Factors Which Affect Women's Acceptance of Online Mentoring
WHO: Regina Gibson, a doctoral student at Robert Morris University, is researching the factors which affect women's acceptance of online mentoring. Online mentoring is an emerging usage of Internet technology, which is now replacing the traditional practice of face-to-face mentoring.
WHAT: A project that will analyze the responses to a questionnaire which will be distributed to E-Magnify members through the use of a web survey tool, SurveyMonkey. In addition to E-Magnify, other groups of women in Southwestern Pennsylvania, such as the American Association of University Women and the Society of Women Engineers, will also be surveyed. The questionnaires will be collected via the Internet, by mail, or at meetings. The questionnaire should take only 10-15 minutes to complete.
The information collected will be anonymous and kept confidential, and the statistical results, conclusions, and recommendations of the project will be made available to all groups participating in the study.
