Distinguished as a Women's Business Center by the U.S.
Small Business Administration, E-Magnify joins the SBA's family of resources
providing training, counseling and other technical assistance services, with
special emphasis on women that are socially and economically disadvantaged. |
One-on-One Direct Client Counseling
Seton Hill University’s
E-Magnify women’s business center provides direct client
counseling for women interested in starting abusiness or growing
an existing business.Our services and programs are specifically
designed to assist women who are:
- located in rural and remote areas
- desire economic opportunity and social
equality

this unique competition grants winners cash prizes to help them launch their

Economic Development Outreach Tour (WEDO®)
The Women's Economic Development
Outreach Tour (WEDO) is a coalition of dynamic women leaders
working together
to bring information and focused resources that directly
impact women-owned businesses and their opportunity for business
expansion. Speakers will share their tips to building a successful
business while getting the most from life. The tour's agenda
is designed
to start each day witha networking breakfast, end around
noon, and introduce women business owners to topics such
as: financing growth, strategic
marketing and public relations, networking, using e-commerce
to increase efficiencies, and the benefits of being certified

Held in March each year, this comprehensive small business conference highlights
topics of interest to women entrepreneurs interested in growing their businesses.
Topical areas include marketing, human resources, financing, technology and

E-Magnify Webinar Series
This FREE webinar (web-based seminar) series is designed for the woman on the
go. Broadcast via the E-Magnify website, each webinar uses a virtual model
to reach women entrepreneur across the country. The first series, Closing
the Gap: Preparing Women Business Owners to Subcontract with the Federal Government focused
on identifying core competencies and core customers, developing a winning proposal

Supporting business growth through the assistance of
professional advisory panels for women business owners. Each
advisory panel is tailored to fit the specific needs of the
company as defined by the business plan, goals and objectives
of the enterprise. The panel's goal is to ultimately help
women-owned businesses learn how to network better, access
capital and implement best practices. In southwestern Pennsylvania,
the program is offered to women-owned businesses in Fayette,
Greene, Washington, Westmoreland, Lawrence, and Mercer counties. View

Winners’ Circle ATHENA Award® Program
Recognized as one of the largest ATHENA recognition programs in the country,
this Countywide event showcases exceptional business pioneers and honors
individuals for inspiring others to do great things in Westmoreland County,
Pennsylvania. The international ATHENA Award, the Seton Hill University Entrepreneurial
Excellence, YWCA Rising Star and Community Service awards are presented to
individuals who demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their
business or profession and provide valuable service by devoting time and
energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community. Presented
by Seton Hill University E-Magnify, the event is supported by various corporate
and non-profit organizations to recognize community leaders who inspire others.
Nominations are accepted through January with the winners announced at an

Women Presidents' Organization
E-Magnify is host to The Women Presidents' Organization (WPO)
chapter in Westmoreland county. WPO connects top women entrepreneurs at the million
and multimillion-dollar level ($2 million in gross annual sales or $1 million
for service-based business) for greater personal and professional success. Chapters
are composed of accomplished women presidents from diverse industries and backgrounds
invest time and energy in themselves and their businesses to drive their corporations
to the next level. |

Each year Seton Hill University's
E-Magnify participates in the PA
Governor's Conference to bring
the state's awareness of Women's Business centers to the forefront
and help entrepreneurs realize their vision. |
