an existing business. Services and programs are target women who are located in rural and remote areas, desire economic opportunity and social

CORE FOUR® Business Planning Course
Do you need help planning your business? Become
your own expert!
The CORE FOUR® Business Planning Course, brought to you by Seton Hill University's E-Magnify, IS FOR
YOU! CORE FOUR® teaches strategies for planning a business and focuses on certain core business planning tools and concepts for planning any business. The course deals with four core bodies of knowledge that a business owner must have in order to operate a successful business:
- Marketing Plan Preparation
- Business Plan Preparation
- Cash Flow Projections
- Business Operating Procedures
Developed in 1998, the CORE FOUR® program was developed by the Northeast Entrepreneur Fund as a culmination of years of experience training individuals in starting and growing their own small businesses.By helping participants develop an understanding of the four core bodies of knowledge presented in the course, CORE FOUR® presents participants with the tools and knowledge needed to build a business plan. The knowledge gained allows participants to begin the process of gathering information needed to plan their business. Once participants have obtained the knowledge about how to plan a business, they can use it for any business idea, at any time, for the rest of their lives. Individuals interested in the CORE FOUR® Business Planning Course include those who want to start a business, as well as those who desire to operate a business in a better way. They possess a desire to learn how to develop a realistic, comprehensive business plan and apply knowledge gained to implement that plan. The course is available in two formats: six, three-hour class sessions or two full days sessions. |
E-Magnify Women's Entrepreneurial Symposium
Held annually, this "Signature" training even features nationally renowned key note speakers and highlights regional women entrepreneurs. This small business symposium highlights topics of interest to women entrepreneurs interested in growing their businesses. Economic Development Outreach Tour (WEDO®)
The Women's Economic Development
Outreach Tour (WEDO) is a coalition of dynamic women leaders
working together
to bring information and focused resources that directly
impact women-owned businesses and their opportunity for business
expansion. Speakers will share their tips to building a successful
business while getting the most from life. The tour's agenda
is to introduce women business owners to topics such
as: financing growth, strategic
marketing and public relations, networking, using e-commerce
to increase efficiencies, and the benefits of being certified

Supporting business growth through the assistance of
professional advisory panels for women business owners. Each
advisory panel is tailored to fit the specific needs of the
company as defined by the business plan, goals and objectives
of the enterprise. The panel's goal is to ultimately help
women-owned businesses learn how to network better, access
capital and implement best practices. In southwestern Pennsylvania,
the program is offered by E-Magnify to women-owned businesses in Fayette,
Greene, Washington, Westmoreland, Lawrence, and Mercer counties. View

Women Presidents' Organization
E-Magnify is host to The Women Presidents' Organization (WPO)
chapter in Westmoreland County. WPO connects top women entrepreneurs at the million
and multimillion-dollar level ($2 million in gross annual sales or $1 million
for service-based business) for greater personal and professional success. Chapters
are composed of accomplished women presidents from diverse industries and backgrounds who invest time and energy in themselves and their businesses to drive their corporations
to the next level. |
